Instructors and supervisors of diving techniques teach and supervise in open water or swimming pools. They also plan and supervise nontraining activities, such as navigation exercises. Open water instructors lead students through the tour portion of dives. This includes the navigation exercise as well as the surface swim portion. Instructors may also have to instruct certified divers in scuba reviews. Dive instructors are subject to different legal obligations. Some countries exempt diving instructors from legal responsibility if they sign a waiver.

Certification requirements

To become a Divemaster, you will need to take a course. Divemaster classes cover topics such as managing divers, setting up dive sites, and finding the best flow. In addition, candidates must have a minimum of 60 logged dives. Divemasters can assist novice divers with theory and skills, as well as assisting instructors during dive courses.

In addition to taking courses, Dive masters must pass a two-part examination. The candidates must score at the least 75% on each portion of the exam in order to pass. Candidates will be using the PADI Instructor Handbook and the eRDPML for the exam. Students are required to create an emergency response plan and practice five waterskills drills. The combined scores must be at least fifteen. After completing the course, divemasters must receive certification.

Internship required

Divermasters have many internship options. You can either assist with PADI Courses or help to set up dive spots, depending on your preference. You may also be required to assist with skill circuits. An internship will have a defined pattern. A typical internship will last eight weeks. In the same period, you may become an Advanced Open Water Diver. After four to five weeks of training, it is possible to become a Divemaster, Dive Guide, or Divemaster.

Your internship may include the opportunity to obtain manuals and certification as well as equipment. Before you enroll in any Divemaster course, it is important to be familiar with the requirements.
