PADI's Specialty Emergency First Response course (EFR+CFC), is designed to help individuals in situations where they might need to use first aid. For those with experience and the desire to improve their skills, this course is also a refresher course.
Content
EFR is a great tool to improve your ability to manage medical emergencies and increase your confidence. This course covers basic procedures in emergency care. Participants can practice these skills in a relaxed environment. Course materials include video demonstrations, self-study manuals, and quick references cards. It also meets the requirements for professional ratings and the PADI Rescue Diver course.
The course content includes learning CPR, rescue breathing, scene assessment, and basic first aid. Participants will also learn how to treat common dive injuries. You will also learn how to bandage, splint and prevent infection. Students will also learn to protect their bodies from harmful substances and pathogens. This course will teach you how to rescue people from potentially life-threatening situations.
Pre-requisites
PADI Emergency First response course is one-day and teaches participants how they can respond quickly to a medical emergency that could be life-threatening. The program includes classroom theory and skills development as well as real-life scenario practice. No age or pre-requisites are required for the course.
Divers and non-divers alike will benefit from the course, which covers CPR and first aid in all situations. With quick reference cards and videos, participants will learn how to react quickly and effectively in such situations. This course is compliant with the CPR/First-aid training requirements of the PADI Rescue Diver as well as all professional levels in the PADI Scuba Diver program. In addition, most PADI instructors are also certified instructors in Emergency First Response.
Requirements
Emergency First Response training builds confidence and prepares participants to help others in an emergency. The course includes lifesaving skills such CPR, primary care, and first aid. It emphasizes the importance in minimizing risks. Non-divers will also benefit from the course, which will prepare them to respond in an emergency.
Students who successfully complete the EFRI program are eligible for the PADI Instructor Examination. Each course begins with the prefix EFRI, and is numbered sequentially. Each course lasts one clock hour, including 55 minutes of class time and five minutes of break time.
Refresher Course
People who wish to refresh their skills can take the EFR Refresher Course. The course consists of two parts: a Skill Development session and an Exam. EFR refresher courses are optional, but recommended by the EFR Instructor Handbook. The refresher course will cover the most recent developments in CPR/first Aid. You will also learn how to use the AED. In this course, you'll also learn how emergency responders can be trained.
The EFR course is a great way to brush up on your skills and meet the requirements for the PADI Rescue Diver course. It meets the requirements for the Professional Rescue Diver course as well as other courses that require CPR certification. It includes an Emergency First Response video, which assists participants in preparing for emergencies and previewing the skills they will be practicing during the skills training session.
Cost
The half-day Emergency First Respond course teaches skills needed in emergency situations. It includes classroom lectures, video presentations, role play scenarios, CPR, first assistance, and AED use. The course is an essential part of PADI certification and satisfies the prerequisites for several courses. The course costs around 6,900 THB per person. The cost includes the training manual as well as two years' certification fees for PADI.
PADI Emergency First Reaper course will provide you with CPR and rescue breathing training, aswell as the ability to assess and monitor the victim's condition.
