You can earn the SSI Mermaid certificate online. This allows you to complete the certification wherever and whenever you want. There are two parts of the certification. The practical portion is online and the other part is online. Either you can do the online part on a desktop or laptop computer. Or, you can use your smartphone to complete the practical portion. You can download the SSI App for Android and iOS devices.
JODY PRATT
JODY PRATT is a PADI Mermaid Instructor as well as a certified SSI instructor trainer. She has many Specialty Instructor Ratings and started diving as a youngster. She is passionate about diving and enjoys going back to basics during open water classes. JODY also holds a Technical Rescue Instructor Trainer certification.
Michelle Forsbrey
Michelle Forsbrey is an avid surfer and swimmer. She loves the ocean. Because of her love for the ocean, and her desire to be able to swim again, Michelle Forsbrey bought a Mermaid tail to help with her rehabilitation. The mermaid-tail drew attention from both children and adults when she was seen in the local hotel swimming pool.
Try Mermaid Experience
You are either a long-time mermaid dreamer or simply curious about the experience, then you're in the right place. SSI offers a Try Mermaid Experience that allows you to swim underwater using mermaid fins. This introductory course is perfect for beginners. This course will teach you how safe to swim underwater, how to use mermaid fins and even how to hold your breath underwater. The $15 you receive towards your full certification is yours after you complete your Try Mermaid Course.
Rusty
Rusty was born in New Orleans, but grew up in a small town in the Atchafalaya Basin. It covers 22 parishes and is the US's largest swamp. The unique culture of Cajun has been a part of his life since he was a child. Rusty enjoys swimming, cycling, underwater photography and spending time at home with his family.
Niki
Niki Dawson is an entrepreneur, professional scuba instructor, and creative wedding planner. She enjoys traveling to different parts of the world to dive. Micronesia and Australia are her favorite spots to dive. Niki loves to travel the world, and she does enjoy diving.
Evi
Evi is a performer and instructor of mermaid swim. Her first mermaid school was opened in March 2018 and has taught hundreds of guppies to swim using her tail. Evi and Naomi competed at the World Mermaid Championship. Her goal is for children to enjoy the water and be safe around reefs.
