Advanced technical diving certifications can be pursued by many people. TDI offers Intro to Tech, Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures, and PADI offers Tec Trimix and Deep Diver courses. Advanced Nitrox training is offered by TDI to recreational Nitrox divers. The course covers equipment, gas switching, emergency techniques, and more. Visit the TDI website for more information.
TDI Introto Tech Course
The TDI Intro to Tech is a standalone training program that allows you to expand your recreational training and learn more advanced technical skills. It is also a great introduction for advanced courses from TDI, such as Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures. You can also use it to refresh those who have previously taken technical courses. During the course, TDI technical instructor can assess your abilities.
The TDI Intro to Tech course can be used by divers who haven't dived before with twin cylinders and a wing. The course also covers advanced buoyancy control, gas management, and more. Students will also learn situational awareness and trim skills. You can take the course in open cenotes or at sea, which offer similar conditions to swimming pools. Advanced gas planning techniques will be taught. This course will help you improve your open-water diving skills and teach you how to use technical equipment. Advanced gas planning techniques will be taught. The course is strictly non-decompression. However, you are allowed to use enriched nitrox during the course.

Course in TDI Advanced Nitrox & Decompression Procedures
TDI Advanced Nitrox & Deco Procedures Courses prepare divers to perform accelerated and staged compression. Students learn advanced gas planning techniques and management techniques in order to make sure their dives are safe. Students also learn how they manage their equipment and plan to handle any unexpected events. A TDI Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Methods course includes four dives that can reach a maximum depth to 40 meters (130 ft).
This course can be taken as a standalone course or as part of an Advanced Nitrox or Decompression Procedures certification. Advanced Nitrox and Decompression Procedures courses last four days and are performance-based. Six dives are required, with two below 30m. The course is tailored to the students' experience and individual needs. This course prepares students for advanced technical diving, including wrecks in Scapa Flow and the UK.
PADI Tec Trimix course
The PADI Tec Trimix90 course is the final part of the PADI Technical Divers open circuit. This certification opens up the possibility to go deeper into the ocean and discover places no one else has. This course is not suitable for tec divers with extensive experience who want to expand their range and explore deeper underwater environments. Trimix certification requires a valid driver's license and a medical exam. Two 30cf stage bottles are required and a mask.
The Tec Trimix 65 diver must log at least 350 dives and at least 50 decompression dives using less than 21 percent oxygen for the PADI Tec Trimix course. The course also covers technical diving techniques. It also offers multiple teaching scenarios. It is the highest level of technical diving certification. However, it is worth noting that the requirements are more demanding than the standard PADI Tec Diver course.

PADI Tec Deep Diver course
PADI Tec deep diver certification is for recreational divers. This certification covers four dives and includes a practice of safety stops as well as descents. Additionally, you will learn how to use technical diving equipment such as a side-mounted cylinder or EANx. You'll also learn about how to plan a deep dive and manage your gas supply. Online or offline lessons are possible with the PADI Tec eLearning system. You can also take your lessons at your own pace.
Unlike the previous PADI courses, this program can be completed in two years. First, you need to be certified as a Tec 50 diver by an approved organization. The qualifying certification must cover technical deep diving, decompression dives to 50 metres, and pure oxygen diving. The Tec Deep Instructor course director may also offer Tec 50 level training. Upon completion the Tec Deep Instructor course, a PADI Course director will issue Tec Deep Diver certification.
