Sipadan

Sipadan reefs are a favorite spot in the Philippines and a lure that entices divers to dive. This area is located in the middle of a coral triangle, making it one of the most biodiverse marine environments in the world. Here you will find turtles, lionfish, and sharks. The visibility ranges from 15 to 40 meters so you won't have any trouble exploring the underwater world surrounding Sipadan.

Shark Reef Marine Reserve

You can enjoy some of the most exciting dives anywhere in the world, including the Shark Reef Marine Reserve. A visit to the marine reserve is an unforgettable experience, as you will be surrounded by diverse species of fish and coral. There are 125 different types of sharks and more than 5,000 different species of mollusks and seaweed. Heart Reef, a unique formation of corals and fish, is one of the best places to visit. The structure measures 17 meters in width and is an amazing sight from the air.

Half Moon Caye Wall

Many types of marine life can be found at this spectacular dive spot. The wall is also home of sharks. This was revealed recently. Keep an eye out for brain coral and sea fans while you are on the wall. A turtle or two might be possible. If you're feeling adventurous you can explore the underwater tunnels among coral outcrops.


Yongala

You have many options when it comes to diving on the SS Yongala. Liveaboards leave from Townsville, which is just 3 hours away by fast boat. These dives are approximately 30m deep, and are suitable for Advanced certified divers. Spend a bit more money to take a day tour and dive the SS Yongala. The trip takes three hours in total and includes two tanks.

Punta Vicente Roca

Punta VicenteRoca is the only place to scuba dive. The site is 200 kilometers away from the nearest inhabited island. A variety of sea creatures can be seen here, including red-lipped batfish, Galapagos marines iguanas, and black-striped schooling salema. Photographers can also catch glimpses of the endemic Galapagos flightless cormorants.

Bonaire

Divers will love Bonaire's diversity and beauty. The leeward end of Bonaire is home to many notable dive sites. With clear water and lots of schooling fish, this site is a favorite among divers and snorkellers. Combined with the famous Karpata dive site, this site offers incredible drop-offs and massive coral formations.
