How to Become a Master Diver in the United States Navy

The United States Navy master diver is the highest level in the diving industry. The enlisted person has the most experience, knowledge and training in all areas of diving and underwater salvaging. At least 15 years' experience is required to become a master diver. You also need to have taken a specialization class. The United States Navy offers a specialization program that will allow you to earn master diver status.

PADI Master Scuba Diver

PADI Master Scuba Diver certification scuba diving certification recognizes scuba diving expertise. Several North American diver training agencies, including the National Association of Underwater Instructors, Professional Association of Diving Instructors, Scuba Schools International, and the Professional Scuba Diver Association, offer the program. This is the most advanced level of diving certification. You must dive at least thirty feet below the surface to complete the course.

NAUI Master Scuba Diver

A NAUI Master Scuba Diver course may be the right choice for you if you are ready to progress to a higher level in scuba diving. The course is designed to give you the skills and knowledge you need to organize dives for other divers. You will learn how to use a compass, perform underwater communications, and recognize pre-panic signs. Also, you'll learn how and where to dive. This course consists of both two open water and a classroom session.


NAUI Enriched Air (Nitrox) Diver

It is a great way for you to increase your diving experience by taking the NAUI EnrichedAir (NITX). Master Diver course. The course covers all aspects involved in enriched-air diving, including mixing Nitrox with oxygen. Students will learn how to analyze the breathing mixture, the physiology of oxygen and nitrogen, and the hazards of handling both gases. In addition, they'll learn the concept of Equivalent Air Depth and common gas mixing techniques. The enriched oxygen course can be used as an extension to an open water diver's Scuba Diver certification.

NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver

Completing the required courses is essential to achieving your dream of becoming a NAUI Rescue Scuba Diver Master Diving Instructor. This certification is a requirement for the NAUI FIT training course. You will be able to become a professional NAUI instructor or leader. To get started, take the Try Scuba program. This program is designed to give you the knowledge and skills necessary to safely dive into open water.

NAUI First Aid course

A NAUI First Aid course for master divers will prepare you to respond to a variety of emergencies that can arise in the water. Refresher sessions are included, as well as information on the latest First Aid standards. You will have the knowledge and skills to immediately respond to an emergency. The course is also uniquely hands-on, allowing you to practice the skills that you learn in the classroom.
