Dive Sites in LA

White Point is one of LA's most popular dive spots. It is located close to hypo-thermal hotsprings and features white bacterial moss. The dive site also features an old shipwreck, rock reef, and kelp beds. It is also home to giant sea stars, cold water anemones, and urchins. High tide is best for diving.

Leo Carillo

Leo Carrillo, La is a state park located along the southern coast of Los Angeles County, California. It is part the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. The park has 1.5 miles stretch of beach that extends to the Santa Monica Mountains. Divers can enjoy the stunning waters off Leo Carrillo State Park.

Divers can choose from three main dive sites at Leo Carrillo. These dive sites are great for beginners, with easy entry points and plenty of parking. These sites are also popular for night diving, lobster hunting, and you'll find plenty of marine life.

Santa Barbara Island

Santa Barbara Island is home to some excellent offshore dive sites. You can take a boat ride to reach these amazing dive sites. These dive sites are often rugged and make great hunting and photography spots. These areas are also home to many healthy kelp bed and purple hydro Coral. It is also a great spot for swimming in Southern California waters.


Visitors to the island can also take part in snorkeling and kayaking. You can also tent camp if the weather is good. It is also home to large numbers of pinnipeds such as harbor seals, northern Elephant seals, and California Sea Lions. These animals can be seen in the rocks surrounding the sea lion nestery. There are several overlooks on the island.

Anacapa Island

Anacapa Island is home to a variety of marine life. One of the United States' first Marine Protected Areas is located in this area. The region offers diving that is not only great for beginners but also for seasoned divers. The waters around the island have a moderately warm temperature, which makes them ideal for wetsuit diving. In late summer and autumn, the surface temperatures can reach 70°F (21°C). In winter, temperatures may drop as low to 50 degrees F (10oC). It is recommended that you use a 7mm waterproof suit. During these months, visibility is usually at least 100 ft (30M).

Dive charter boats and Island Packers can access the Anacapa dive spot. There are numerous dive sites available on the island, including a 40-foot-tall arch rock. These sites can also be viewed from the surface using snorkeling gear.

Veteran's park

Veteran's Park in Ocean Drive has a playground with fields. This is a wonderful place for families to come together. It is close to beaches. It offers great views of the ocean from the park on sunny days. The park is open all year and offers a lot of activities.

Parking is easy. Veteran's Park is the ideal place to begin your diving adventures if you're a beginner diver. You can park easily and find restrooms. A meter is available for checking, and you can also use the outdoor shower to rinse your clothes. There's also a changing room, but the bathrooms close at dusk.
