Divers are trained with a continuous guideline to help them navigate.

In the event of a problem, it can also be used as a safety guideline.

To help them navigate through caves, divers use three types of markers. Permanent line markers, or line arrows, are used as a visual and tactile guideline. The arrows also indicate the direction of the exit. They are also used to indicate jump locations in the cave.

Some parts of the cave can be extremely tight and contain high amounts of silt. The dive to the end is quite simple but diver should not actively search for the marker. The training process involves team protocols, blind staging, and simulation of a silt-out caused by a tank dropped on sediment.
