PADI's Specialty Emergency First Response CFC (EFR+CFC), training course is designed for individuals who may be required to provide first aid in emergency situations. This course is also great for people with previous experience who want to learn new skills.

Content of the course

EFR is a great course that will increase your confidence and help you deal with medical emergencies. Participants are able to practice emergency care in a stress-free atmosphere and learn simple procedures. You will find self-study guides, videos, and quick reference cards. It meets all the requirements to be certified as a PADI Rescue Diver and professional rating.

CPR, rescue breathing (scene assessment), and basic first-aid are just some of the courses. Common diving injuries can also be treated during the training. This includes learning to bandage, prevent, and splint. Students will also learn to protect their bodies from harmful substances and pathogens. This course will teach you how to rescue people from potentially life-threatening situations.

Pre-requisites

PADI Emergency First response course is one-day and teaches participants how they can respond quickly to a medical emergency that could be life-threatening. The program includes classroom instruction and skills training, as well practice in real-life situations. No age or pre-requisites are required for the course.

Requirements

Training in Emergency First Response builds confidence and prepares participants for helping others in emergency situations. The course includes lifesaving skills such CPR, primary care, and first aid. It emphasizes the importance in minimizing risks. Non-divers can also be trained so they are more ready to assist in an emergency.


Students who successfully complete the EFRI program are eligible for the PADI Instructor Examination. Each course begins with the prefix EFRI, and is numbered sequentially. Each course lasts one clock hour, including 55 minutes of class time and five minutes of break time.

Refresher course

For people looking to improve their skills, the EFR Refresher Course was created. There are two parts to the course: Skill Development and Exam. EFR refresher is optional but highly recommended by the EFR Instructor Guide. You will be updated on the latest developments in CPR/first aid during the refresher course. You will also learn how to use the AED. Additionally, you will be able to instruct others on how to perform these skills in an emergency.

It is a great way for you to brush up your skills and fulfill the requirements of the PADI Rescue Diver Course. It also fulfills the requirement for Professional Rescue Diver courses and other courses that involve CPR training. It also contains an Emergency First Response Video that helps participants prepare for emergency situations and preview the skills they will use during the skills development session.

Cost

The Emergency First response course is a course lasting half a day that teaches emergency management skills. It includes video presentations, classroom lessons, role-play scenarios, CPR and first aid as well as AED use. The course fulfills all prerequisites for PADI certification. It costs approximately 6,900 THB per participant. The training manual, two-year PADI certification fees and the training manual are included in the course fee.

PADI Emergency First responder courses will help you learn CPR, rescue breathing, and how to monitor a victim's condition. This course also teaches you how first aid can be applied to common diving injuries. Additional topics include protection from disease, bandaging, and splinting.
