What is an AquaLung? It is an open-circuit, self-contained breathing apparatus. Aqua-Lungs, one of the earliest types of self-contained breathing apparatuses, quickly became popular and commercially successful. This type of equipment is often called a demand valve, twin-hose diving regulator, or simply a diving regulator. Emile Gagnan, Jacques Cousteau, and Emile Gaugnan were among the first to use aqualungs. They became a huge hit in the diving community.
Jacques Cousteau
Jacques Cousteau was the inventor of the first open-circuit self-contained underwater breathing device. Cousteau's design was based upon a demand valve system, which supplied compressed air to divers while they were underwater breathing. This device, called the Aqua-Lung (or the Aqua-Lung), opened the world up to divers and anyone else who was interested in diving. Aqua-Lungs were the norm for divers worldwide thanks to Cousteau.
Emile Gagnan
Emile Gagnan, Jacques-Yves Cousteau, and Emile Gaunin invented the Aqua Lung in 1940. Its design was inspired by the 19th-century designs of diving helmets. It allows underwater divers to inhale through a mouthpiece that releases compressed gas activated from their breath. Gagnan developed the regulator valve for the device. It automatically delivers compressed air to diver's mouthpiece according to diver's breath. This device revolutionized diving and allowed divers to explore underwater depths for scientific research, military, and recreational purposes.

The first open circuit demand regulator
Cousteau invented the Aqua-Lung in 1944, and it was patentable in 1946. Since then, the Aqua-Lung is a very popular scuba regulator. Gagnan, Cousteau's father-in-law, and his colleague Emile Gagnan, a French chemist, were also part of the team. They all knew Cousteau was researching and decided to team up and create AquaLung regulator.
The BC1
The BC1 Aqua Lung is a high-tech back inflation BC that can be used for advanced commercial, military and public safety divers. The rugged design of the BC1 Aqua Lung provides superior comfort, fit and stability. The manual contains information about how much weight can be placed into each pouch. There are two sizes of the BC1, one for each side and one for each side. Different weight pouches can be used to customize the BC1 for individual needs.
The Titan
The Aqua Lung Titan is a lightweight and highly portable regulator that integrates the features of previous generations. Its lightweight design makes it very comfortable to use. Additionally, the soft polyurethane shell provides a comfortable fit. Its light weight and robust design make it easy for extended diving. It is reasonably priced, making it affordable to most people. The device has two stages. A second stage prevents unwelcome freeflow.
The Mentor
The Aqua lung Mentor, a regulator developed in collaboration with the United States Navy is an upgrade to the double hoses used to train divers for their rebreather use. The Aqua lung is not yet available to the public but it is an excellent option for professional divers who are looking for an alternative for the double-hose regulators. These are some important things to remember when purchasing the Aqua lung Mentor. Before you buy the Aqua lung Mentor, make sure that it is calibrated.
