What is ERDI and how can it help you?

ERDI provides a range of educational research and opportunities for CTOs, assistant/deputy chief superintendents, and superintendents. The program has facilitated dialogue between industry leaders and school district leaders about the importance of equity and leadership in education. ERDI also hosted the first ever Thought Leader Symposium where industry and school leaders explored ways to improve equity and excellence in education.

ERDI has programs available

ERDI offers a variety of programs that allow international students to continue their education in their country. ERDI courses may be taken in Finland by students at the University of Eastern Finland. The programs aim to increase intercultural dialogue among participating countries and tackle global environmental issues. ERDI courses have been taught by teachers from both countries. Teachers and students both benefit from the multi-cultural teaching environment.


Students will be able to gain an understanding of the criminal legal system and the court system through the ERDI Testifying in Court program. This course will help students gain a deeper understanding and ability to give their testimony.

Underwater Crime Scene Investigations program

ERDI Underwater Crime Scene Investigation is designed to assist law enforcement officers in acquiring the skills and knowledge required to conduct underwater crime scene investigations. Participants will learn how to gather evidence, document the scene and give court-ready testimony. The course is free and open to law enforcement personnel and other emergency service personnel.

The program is taught by instructors who are experienced in the field of forensic investigation. These instructors are experienced and certified in the field of underwater crime scene investigation. They have extensive backgrounds in criminal justice and law enforcement. They have advanced knowledge in crime scene investigation. They will train law enforcement and public safety professionals from around the world.

Component of Confined Space Diving Ops

In this ERDI component, students develop knowledge and skills that will enable them to safely perform limited confined space operations. This training is compliant with OSHA, NFPA, and FEMA regulations regarding water rescue. Students will learn how to respond to a variety of emergencies in the confined spaces. Additionally, students will be able to clean up the bodies of victims and conduct a thorough investigation for evidence.
